Galena 2019
GALENA, purple in color, offers an exciting bouquet of cedar, spice box, mineral earth and cherries and black currants. Smooth, mature and complex in texture. This easy-going endeavor is already delivering a lot of pleasure, although it will continue to evolve for 2 or 3 years. Robert Parker
Elaboration: Rigorous manual selection of the grapes from five of our fourteen organic vineyard plots, based on the type of land and the adaptation of the strain to it. The fermentation and maceration of each variety take place separately In stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the skins are gently pressed to continue the malolactic fermentation. Finally, the different varieties are blended before entering the barrels.
Aging: 12 months in French (90%) and American (10%) oak barrels. And 24 months of rest in the bottle.
Tasting Notes: Galena is an intense cherry red wine, where we want to express what our territory is. This has an important and always present mineral component, which brings freshness, it presents a remarkable aromatic complexity and a great wealth of nuances, where balsamic aromas and dried black fruits predominate, as well as jams, with light touches of black spices. On the palate it is very fatty and fresh, with a powerful but soft first attack, highlighting the aromas of black spices and minerality.
Pairing: Rice and pasta, poultry, white meats, red meats, game, sausages, cold cuts, meat stews, eggs, pâtés, foie, blue fish, cured cheeses, vegetables and greens.
