Clos Galena, Priorat winery founded in 1999 by Miguel Pérez and Merche Dalmau, celebrates its 25th anniversary with the launch of a commemorative wine: ‘Clos Galena 25 Anys d'un Somni’. This limited edition consists of 1,398 numbered bottles, available at a price of 125 euros each. The wine is made mainly with Grenache, Carignan and Syrah, with 1% of Cabernet Sauvignon, standing out for its freshness and elegance, with a predominance of fruity notes.
Since its beginnings, Clos Galena has been committed to the production of quality organic wines. Currently, it produces 155,000 bottles a year, distributed between 95,000 from DOQ Priorat, 50,000 from DO Terra Alta and 10,000 from DO Montsant, exporting 70% of its production to countries such as Switzerland, Germany, Puerto Rico and Mexico. In 2017, its Formiga de Vellut wine was the first Catalan wine served at the Nobel Prize dinner. In addition, at the end of 2023, the winery was recognised in Paris as ‘Winery of the Year’ at the European Awards.
The 25th anniversary celebration also included the release of some historic vintages of Galena and Clos Galena from the winery's wine cellar, offering collectors and wine lovers the opportunity to purchase these iconic wines.
