Debate | Reus viu el vi 2016.
The Women and Business Commission of the Reus Chamber of Commerce organized a debate about women taking a leading role in the world of wine as part of the activities of the “Reus Viu el Vi” fair.
The activity took place in Cal Massó, on Thursday, May 26th and Merche Dalmau, from Merche Dalmau de la Bodega Clos Galena winery, took part as Owner and general manager of the winery as well as pharmacist; Eva Delgado of DO Montsant Celler Ronadelles, who is a winemaker and mathematician; Anna Gallisà of DOQ Priorat Bodega Casa Gran del Siurana, who is also a winemaker for the Perelada Group; and Ruth Troyano as moderator and journalist, specialised in wine tourism as well as being a trained sommelier.
The event ended with a wine tasting of the wineries represented and a networking session.
Behind a bottle of wine there are about 600 decisions to be made. Today Merche Dalmau, Anna Gallisà and Eva Delgado gave a masterclass on how to lead with passion and conviction 3 great wine projects. Leadership, self-demand, responsibility and ability to connect with the consumer with wines that sometimes must be technical and sometimes emotional.
We recommend the reading of this article about the conclusions: “The glass, still half empty”, article written by the journalist, who holds an MA in wine tourism Ruth Troyano Puig.
During the “Reus Viu el Vi 2016″ fair, the Reus Chamber of Commerce, headed by Mr. Isaac Sanromà, organized a lunch on Saturday at Vermuts Rofes Restaurant. The lunch was organised to thank the participating wineries for their support and involvement in the debate.
The president of the Reus Chamber of Commerce also wanted to mention the importance of the food industry in his speech to the US Consul Marcos Mandojana. According to Mr. Sanromà, “the meeting was worth holding as it helped to discover new business opportunities for our entrepreneurs and, especially, for our wine producers who see North America as a territory full of opportunities to be explored”.
